Wheelchair Skills Training Sessions include a pre-training assessment call to discuss the client’s individual needs, goals, and abilities. Break down what you want to learn, what you want to take away from the training and an honest opinion of what skill YOU will be able to learn.

It also helps with introductions and saves time on the day of training.

A training session should last three hours. This allows ample time to demonstrate, practice, and discuss each skill.

Training time can be altered by individual ability but must be at least two hours long. The length of training will be finalised at the time of booking.

An optional follow-up call, one month after training, is available to discuss skill development and answer any skill-related questions. Included in the cost of training.

Telephone assessment to identify needs and goals for training.

Group tuition sessions that you can book with a maximum of six students. The session will cover Essential Skills training and may include Advanced Skills, depending on the group’s needs and abilities. The pace of teaching and time to practice skills may vary. Written reminders of skills taught to take away. Spotting strap for safe practice at home. A written report detailing session outcomes and recommendations. Follow-up progression call.
